Born Ricardo Emmanuel Brown, Kurupt's career took off in the 1990s, as one half of the rap duo "Tha Dogg Pound" with rapper / producer Daz Dillinger. In 1992 Kurupt at the age of 19 signed with Death Row Records, and in 1998 he released his debut solo project titled "Kuruption !" on Antra / A&M records. Kuruption became an instant West Coast Classic with the hit single produced by the legendary DJ Battlacat "We Can Freak It" the song hit the top 20 on Billboards top 100 and Top 10 on Billboard's Top 200, this single has become the theme song for west coast dance and party scene as well as the culture. Kurupt originally from Pennsylvania Philadelphia is known for being a critical leader in rap history  as a true lyrical MC who continues to inspire rap stars from around the world.
